Dundalk RFC is launching a new junior Tag Disability Rugby Team for girls and boys aged 6–15 with a learning or physical disability who cannot play mainstream rugby but want to be part of our club and wear the black and white jersey.
Our aim is to provide a safe, fun and inclusive environment where children can learn and play rugby, develop social skills and build confidence.
We plan to run a pilot programme for a limited number of children, with a weekly one-hour session on the first pitch. The day and time will be chosen based on volunteer availability.
Who can volunteer?
Volunteers must be aged 16 or over.
No coaching experience is necessary; however, qualified rugby coaches are particularly welcome to help us meet programme requirements.
Youth members are encouraged to get involved. The experience may count towards Gaisce or benefit anyone considering a career in sport.
All volunteers must complete Dundalk RFC Garda vetting and safeguarding training before joining the sessions.
